We use our dual temp for sparkling (45F) & white (54F) We prefer our Reds at room temp or about 70.

The ideal temperature for storing wine is between 55ºF-60ºF. I prefer my reds at 58ºF. As long as they are stored between 40ºF-60ºF they shouldn't suffer adverse affects; I would also try to keep your fridge's temperature steady to a less than 5ºF change annually.
